The title of the lecture is “In Search of Streams and Mountains.” Professor Lee focuses on a new territory of a literal exploration of landscape view depicted in traditional Chinese painting and poetry. Her artistic investigation in general has been inspired by traditional usages of botanical elements, decorative motifs, and floral patterns, which inform an ever-evolving creative direction. This lecture is deeply associated with Chinese culture and the vernacular ceramic materials and processes. She attempts to make a creative and artistic statement, which manifests a strong integration of Chinese art and poetry, but with her own visual interpretations and contemporary sensibility.
