讲座内容:Not long after a Presidential Election is over in the United States, pundits shift their attention to the next race. Who will run? What will the issues be? What is the public mood? While the candidates, issues, and moods change, much about the U.S. election cycle remains the same: the drama of the primary season, the formality of the national conventions, the high pressure debates, and the poll results coming in from across the States on election night. The increasing role of money in American elections is a topic of intense scrutiny, as is the ability of candidates to modernize their campaigning through
the use of social media. This lecture will take you through the complicated process of selecting a U.S. President, introduce you to the leading Democratic and Republican contenders, and identify 4 political issues that will matter in the 2016 race.
